Global Child Protection in Emergencies

Plan International (Plan) proposes a 24-month project to develop effective, evidence-supported guidance and tools to strengthen the effectiveness of Community-based Child Protection (CBCP) programming that are easily used, applied, and contextualized across various humanitarian contexts. Plan proposes an approach to strengthen practitioners' understanding of existing CBCP structures and their capacity to protect children, rather than prescriptive step-by-step models. This innovative approach will ultimately provide data to support enhanced collaboration, create opportunities for capacity building, and promote increased sustainability throughout and beyond the humanitarian crisis -linking with development and recovery actions.
