Food Security Program with Salesian Missions - Haiti - 2017

Located in Port-au-Prince, the Don Bosco Lakay program serves to support and empower children and youth living on the street who have either been neglected or abandoned and are often unable to return home. The program aims to reduce illiteracy, provide technical training in a vocational profession, reintegration into society, reduce the prevalence of violence within their environment, return their human dignity, integrate them into the labor market to provide for themselves and to provide basic needs such as food, health care, shelter, and if possible, contact with their biological families.
