Rohingya Emergency Relief in Bangladesh

This project is a rapid emergency response for displaced population seeking refuge in the makeshift settlement in Cox's Bazar District, Bangladesh, who have fled violence in Rakhine State of Myanmar. In the early hours of 25 August, violence broke out in Rakhine State, Myanmar. As a result, more than 500,000 people from a stateless ethnic minority have crossed the border into Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh with many more expected to arrive. The first phase will provide essential food, shelter, and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) materials meeting the most urgent needs. The second phase will be moving to a medium / long-term humanitarian response.
