Migration Education and Advocacy for Indigenous Guatemalan Communities

To raise awareness about migration within indigenous Guatemalan communities and to allow such communities to participate in migration-related advocacy.

Additional information

A grant from UUSC will strengthen the work that Pop No'j has been doing to defend the rights of migrants, particularly indigenous migrants, and especially the accompaniment to the process of return and reintegration of migrant children and adolescents (deportees) from United States and Mexico. In addition to contributing to the operational costs of Pop No'j so that it can continue to carry out this work, it will specifically contribute to training teachers on migration issues so that they can replicate them with their students, who are potential migrants, so that the children know their rights and how to defend them during migration.
