CKD Screening & Education_Nepal

This project aims to identify early signs of CKD by testing levels of proteins (urine testing) and creatinine (blood testing). High risk patients will be referred to appropriate treatment options with support of our local partner Nepal Kidney Foundation. The objectives include: increasing awareness about CKD and other common diseases, motivating participants to make positive health behavior changes, educating individuals in Nepal about their kidneys and how to prevent kidney disease and increasing awareness about symptoms of kidney disease and promote good kidney health. Primary care services will also be offered and nephrologists will be on site to respond immediately to high risk patients.
