MMSD School Vision Screenings

Combat Blindness International is located in Dane County, WI and we believe we should also care for those in our backyard. We work with the Madison Metropolitan School District to screen every 4K (Pre-school/4 year olds) and 5K (Kindergarten/5 year olds) to assure they have the right to see and learn. The majority of vision problems, from squints to lazy eye, can be completely corrected if caught and treated by age five. We work with the school nurses and CBI volunteer retired ophthalmic nurses from the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics to provide the screenings and ensure follow-up is completed.
