IMA works with the Tanzania Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW) to support implementation of an integrated five-disease NTD control program targeting onchocerciasis, schistosomiasis, trachoma, LF, and STH. Using MDA in the community and schools, the program provides safe and effective medication to nine regions. IMA provides M&E expertise, and planning and supervision for MDA activities. This also includes targeted training in financial management for fixed obligation grants (FOGs) to 64 districts and regions. Through this mechanism, the TZNTDCP and IMA have been able to train and utilize a network of over 46,000 community volunteers and provide treatment to over 14 million individuals annually.
