Supporting Adolescent Girls Empowerment (SAGE) II

To improve the quality of life for 1,500 marginalized girls between ages 10-17 from 20 villages in rural, underserved communities in Kahama district, Shinyanga region, northwestern Tanzania

Activities

Provision of non-formal-education to out-of-school adolescent girls and boys. Support of adolescent sexual and reproductive health. Establishment and support of village savings and loan associations (VSLAs) as a means to economic empowerment of the parents with non-formal education learners, especially mothers, in 20 villages and 23 primary schools.
